Springlake-Earth’s boys and girls swept the team and individual titles during last week’s District 4-1A meet in Plainview.  

Taytum Goodman (girls) and Josh Samaron (boys) each won individual titles. Goodman finished in 10:59.06 and Samaron crossed the finish line in 18:16.18.  

The teams also both had second-play individual runners with Trace Goodman finishing behind Samaron and Reagan Ethridge trailing only Goodman.  

Both teams will advance to the regional meet, which will take place on Oct. 25 at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.  

Sudan girls, boys advance to regionals 

Sudan’s girls and boys cross country teams each advanced to the regionals with top three finishes in the District meet on Monday.  

The girls placed second with a total of 48 points. The boys came in third with 80 points.  

Addisyn Harrell led the Nette’s contingent by taking third individually. Olivia Montes was sixth and Hailey Flores 12th.  

Edgar Delgado placed 12th to lead the Sudan boys.  

Lady Horns move on to next meet 

The Lazbuddie Lady Horns took third in the District 4-1A cross country meet to advance to the regionals.  

Jackson Gable of the boys team also advanced to regionals, placing fourth individually.  

Blaykin Branscum came in fourth overall for he girls while Lauren Weaver came in sixth and Madison Tyler seventh.
