The Sudan Nettes’ varsity cross country team placed eighth overall on Monday with 276 points at the Region I-2A Regional Cross Country Meet, which was held at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. 

Freshman, Addisyn Harrell, placed 44th overall with a time of 14:30.8, while senior, Hailey Flores, finished 48th with a time of 14:34.4, and Olivia Montes, finished 49th with a time of 14:35.8. 

Junior, Kambry Tolbert, finished 66th with a time of 14:55.7, while senior, Heidi Pinon-Muniz, finished 69th with a time of 15:04.5, and senior, Elora Thorn, finished 111th with a time of 16:30.2.

Hornets finish 16th overall at Regional Cross Country Meet 

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity cross country team finished 16th overall on Monday with 420 points at the Region I-2A Regional Cross Country Meet, which was held at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. 

Senior, Edgar Delgado, finished 53rd overall with a time of 21:40.9, while sophomore, Alan Flores, finished 80th with a time of 23:15.5, and sophomore, Joseph Willeford, finished 90th with a time of 24:35.0. 

Junior, Josue Cervera, finished 98th overall with a time of 25:46.1, while sophomore, Enrique Gonzalez, finished 99th with a time of 25:51.1.

Goodman blazes to State XC Meet, Lady Wolverines place sixth overall 

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team ran at the Region I-1A Regional Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Monday, where they finished sixth overall as a team with 173 points. 

Sophomore, Taytum Goodman, shattered the competition, placing first overall with a blistering time of 10:55.2, qualifying her for the State Cross Country Meet in Round Rock. 

Freshman, Reagan Ethridge finished 15th with a time of 13:58.7, while sophomore, Emma Samaron, finished 30th with a time of 14:37.1, and freshman, Aryca Ibarra, finished 48th with a time of 15:03.5. 

Freshman, Marisela Rodriguez, finished 79th with a time of 16:02.7, while senior, Mahalia Delgado, finished 86th with a time of 16:12.5. 

The State Meet will be held Friday, Nov. 5th and Saturday, Nov. 6th at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock, Tx. The 1A girls will run at 8:30 a.m. on Nov 5th

Samaron earns trip to State; Wolverines place eighth overall 

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity cross country team ran at the Region I-1A Regional Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Monday, where they finished eighth overall as a team with 187 points. 

Senior, Josh Samaron, placed 10th overall, clocking a time of 19:07.5, which qualified him for the State Cross Country Meet. 

Senior, Trace Goodman, finished 18th overall with a time of 19:36.7, while sophomore, Gavin Gonzales, finished 32nd with a time of 20:27.8, and freshman, Dadwin Perez, finished 62nd with a time of 22:13.6. 

Freshman, Nehemiah Castillo, finished 65th with a time of 22:19.1, while junior, Alex Alvarez, finished 75th with a time of 23:12.6, and senior, Dorian Samarron, finished 95th with a time of 25:49.1 

The State Meet will be held Friday, Nov. 5th and Saturday, Nov. 6th at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock, Tx. The 1A boys will run at 9 a.m. on Nov 5th

Madison Tyler qualifies for State Meet to lead Lady Horns XC team 

The Lazbuddie Lady Horns’ varsity cross country team placed 10th overall at the Region I-1A Regional Cross Country Meet on Monday with 286 points. 

Freshman, Madison Tyler, was able to qualify for State as an individual, as she placed ninth overall with a time of 13:36.3. 

Freshman, Blaykin Branscum, finished 14th overall with a time of 13:52.3, while Lauren Weaver finished 53rd with a time of 15:08.9, and junior, Noemi Garcia, finished 82nd with a time of 16:04.4. 

Junior, Erin Martinez, finished 128th with a time of 18:31.9, while sophomore, Eva Froese, finished 135th with a time of 19:36.3, and freshman, Kobi Kirby, finished 136th with a time of 19:52.4. 

On the boy’s side, sophomore, Jackson Gable, finished 20th overall with a time of 19:22.7. 

The State Meet will be held Friday, Nov. 5th and Saturday, Nov. 6th at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock, Tx. The 1A girls will run at 8:30 a.m. on Nov 5th.

Mustangs finish 13th overall at Region I-2A XC Meet 

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity cross country team finished 13th overall on Monday with 276 points at the Region I-2A Regional Cross Country Meet, which was held at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. 

Sophomore, Jacob Escobar, finished 22nd overall, clocking a time of 19:40.5, while senior, Alejandro Santillan, finished 45th with a time of 21:21.0, and freshman, Harry Amador, finished 75th with a time of 23:00.2. 

Junior, Javan Bueno, finished 78th with a time of 23:09.9, while sophomore, Jimmy Munoz, finished 81st with a time of 23:18.0, and sophomore, Jose Zermeno, finished 89th with a time of 24:13.6.
