Since I first came to the Bailey County Senior Citizens Center, my key goal has been to keep our center opening and functioning for our senior citizens. We couldn’t do it; however, without the community support we get at our events.

Last Thursday’s Thanksgiving Dinner was one such event. For many years the Jennyslippers sponsored this annually until disbanding in 2020. They asked if we would like to take it over and continue it. We were thrilled to do so. As a non-profit organization, fundraisers such as these events help keep our center open and active.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in any way to make this year’s event happen. We fed over 700 people by providing dine-in, take-out, and delivery. It was a great turn-out!
