Muleshoe’s Christmas celebration is set for Saturday.

The evening’s events will begin with the Muleshoe Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture’s “Light Up The Night” parade at 6:30 p.m. followed by visits with Santa Claus at the Heritage Center Depot building at 7 p.m.

Entry fee and registration are not required to take part in the parade. Anyone interested in being a part of the parade can line up down Main Street near the softball fields by 5:45 p.m. the day of the event.

Floats will be allowed to throw candy this year. The best decorated float will win a prize.

Santa will ride in the parade and then meet kids at the Heritage Center Depot building for photos from 7-8:30 p.m. Kids are invited to tell Santa their wishes.

Candy canes and cookies will be given out.

Parents are invited to snap a photo of their children.

There will also be two food trucks on the Bailey County Coliseum lot. It’s noted that several of the Heritage Center buildings will also be open for tours.

The community is invited to come out and join in the festivities.
