The city of Muleshoe is considering replacement options for Chief of Police Gary McHone, who retired Tuesday, Dec. 21.

“We’ve not started taking applications,” said City Manager Ramon Sanchez. “We’re exploring our options, including possibly looking in-house.”

During the interim, Lt. Denny Parker and Lt. Leo Aviles are overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Muleshoe Police Department.
