Beta Sigma Phi meets new Chamber of Commerce manager Brittany Pendley
Alice Liles March 18, 2022 0 COMMENTSZeta Rho chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held their monthly meeting at the home of Alice Liles on Tuesday, March 8th. Muleshoe Chamber of Commerce manager Brittany Pendley presented the program, an informal update on events, programs, and goals the board members are working on to serve Muleshoe businesses and the community. She discussed plans for the Fourth of July and Christmas as examples of two major events the chamber sees as major celebrations for the town. She said the chamber banquet is set for May 21st this year and will be held at the Desert Rose.
Alice and co-hostesses Shelia Stevenson and Sherri Shipman served chicken salad with flatbread dippers, crackers, garlic/sesame seed cream cheese dip, chips, cocktail peanuts, and pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing, tea and water.
President Cindy Barrett called the meeting to order. Secretary Vicki Black called roll and read the minutes from the last meeting. Treasurer Pat Young gave the treasurer’s report. New and old business was discussed, including upcoming Founders Day, and election of officers for the coming year was then held. Lynn Box was elected president, Sheila Stevenson will be vice-president, Vicki Black will continue as secretary and Pat Young will continue as treasurer. Cindy Barrett and Melba King will be sorority city council representatives. Members drew for the door prize, which was won by Sandi Chitwood.
