MEDC director to be sought at a later time; board member terms set to expire
Gail M. Williams April 1, 2022 0 COMMENTSAt this time the Muleshoe Economic Development Corporation does not have a director, and none are being sought, according to Muleshoe City Manager Ramon Sanchez.
“At this time, we’re not actively looking for one. In the future, we will fill that position,” Sanchez said.
Questions about MEDC should be directed to Sanchez.
Three of the MEDC Board of Directors terms expire at the end of April.
“If some that are on the board decide not to continue, the EDC will recommend some names to the City Council, and they can approve or deny board members,” Sanchez said.
According to their website, “The Muleshoe Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is a department within the City of Muleshoe designed to provide a range of business and economic development assistance, including financial and non-financial assistance, based upon business’ needs.
“The MEDC is governed by a seven-member board. Board members are appointed by the City of Muleshoe City Council and serve a two-year term. The MEDC works collaboratively with other departments of the City of Muleshoe and with the Muleshoe Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture.”
