Chamber of Commerce manager Brittany Pendley has announced that information for the Independence Day Parade and Courthouse Celebration will be available on Facebook and posted around the city tomorrow.

The theme for the July 2 celebration is Land of the Free, Home of the Mule. Parade line-up will be at 9 a.m. with parade start at 10 a.m. The fireworks display will start at Dark-30 in the City Park.

New to the festivities are frog and turtle races for kids ages 4-12 starting at 1:30 p.m. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded, as well as a Most Patriotic prize for the best decorated turtle.

Old favorites like the Little Miss and Little Mr. Firecracker pageant and the cornhole tournament will also be available.

To sign up for available spaces for parade entries, retail food vendors and retail space, visit the Chamber at 115 E. American Blvd. or call the Chamber at 806-272-4248 or 806-477-9649.
