Sudan vs. Plains

The Hornets put on a show in their homecoming win over Plains 56-12. This win extends their win streak to four as they dominated, specifically in the second quarter. In that quarter, they scored more than half of their 56 points, scoring five touchdowns in the quarter.

As a team they combined for almost 600 yards of offense. The Hornets did most of their work on the ground. Quarterback Trent Wilson led the way with 162 rushing yards and a touchdown. Through the air he completed eight of 12 pass attempts for 149 yards and two scores.

Sudan moves to 4-1 as they start district play this week. On the schedule first is a home matchup against Hale Center Friday night.

Springlake-Earth vs. White Deer

The Wolverines earned their second win on the year last Friday over a previously undefeated White Deer squad 50-22. This is their second win in a row after dropping three straight to open the year. Springlake-Earth has played one of the most competitive schedules in the state. The Wolverines have faced multiple teams ranked within the top 10 of 1A division I and II. The road isn’t getting any easier for Springlake-Earth as they take on Whiteface (4-1) Friday night.
