The Muleshoe Art Association met Tuesday, October 4th, at the Santa Fe Depot in the Muleshoe Heritage Center. Roll was called, minutes were read, the treasurer’s report was given, and new members Ruth Hall and D’Dee Ellis were welcomed to the group.

President Johnson reported that she delivered thirty pumpkins to the art teacher at High School for art students to paint. The pumpkins will then be sold at the membership drive at the Heritage Foundation on October 30th with proceeds going to the Heritage Foundation. She will pick up the painted pumpkins, and art club members will help sell them that night.

President Johnson also reminded members to make something for the bake sale at the Senior Center November 5th. Half of the sales that day will go to the Senior Center and the other half to the art club.

After the business meeting, the program was Sandi Chitwood and pumpkin painting. Members brought their own pumpkins, Sandi brought designs and paints and helped members decorate their pumpkins for Halloween and the fall season.

Members who were present for the meeting and program enjoyed refreshments brought by Melba Bratcher and Sandra Chancey. Members in attendance included Misti Prater, Melba Bratcher, Shirley White, Kay Hohes, Ann Johnson, Sandi Chitwood, D’Dee Ellis, Ruth Hall and Sandra Chancey.

The November 1st meeting will be a road trip to the Ranching Heritage Center in Lubbock and lunch at a Lubbock restaurant to be chosen that day. Guests are welcome to come, too. Contact a member for more information.
