Springlake Earth vs. Whiteface

The Wolverines could not get it done as they lose a tight contest on the road against Whiteface 50-44. This was the final non-district matchup as they look to compete for a district championship.

Springlake-Earth drops to 2-4 on the year with the loss. Their record has suffered in large part, to a tough non-district schedule that included multiple top-ranked teams in the state. The tough preseason schedule should have prepped the Wolverines to compete in their district.

The Wolverines will host their district opener as they take on a struggling 1-6 Anton squad Friday.

Muleshoe vs. Bushland

Muleshoe was shut down in every facet as they were shut-out against No. 6 ranked Bushland in their district opener 34-0. The Mules were limited to less than 50 yards of total offense (33 total yards.) The defense hung in there as long as they could, forcing multiple turnovers in the contest. The defense was worn down from three and outs and four turnovers committed by the Muleshoe offense.

Next up for the Mules is a home matchup against River Road (Amarillo) Friday. River Road is coming off two close losses in a row
