Sudan vs. Lockney

Sudan took care of business in their second district matchup against Lockney, 48-21. The Hornets dominated in the run game once again, rushing for 278 yards and three scores. Josue Cervera led the way with 137 yards rushing including a 70-yard rushing score. Quarterback Trent Wilson was efficient as well, completing 13 of 20 passes for 200 yards, four passing touchdowns and no interceptions.

The win extends the win streak to six on the year as they set their eyes on a district championship. Currently, they are leading the district as the only team with a 2-0 record. Next up for the Hornets is a home matchup against Crosbyton. Crosbyton has struggled, losing their fifth in a row last week.

Springlake-Earth vs. Anton

Springlake-Earth opened their district schedule with a blowout win over Anton 54-6. This win comes off a tough close defeat to Whiteface a week ago. Next week is a big matchup against a hot Petersburg school who has their eyes on a district championship.
