The Lady Mules’ season ended Friday in an 83-34 loss to Idalou.

The Lady Mules struggled to take care of the basketball throughout the contest. Idalou racked up 14 steals and used those turnovers to create fastbreak opportunities. Many of those turnovers were created through the Lady Cats’ full-court pressure.

The full-court pressure allowed Idalou to quickly put the game out of reach as they rode a 28-point lead to the half. They continued to extend upon that as Muleshoe was outscored by double-digits in every quarter.

Kylie Hernandez led Muleshoe in scoring with 14 points. Idalou guard and West Texas A&M commit Logan Heard led all scorers with 24 points.

Friday’s loss officially ended the Lady Mules’ season. They end their season 16-14, placing third in district 3-3A. Muleshoe won their third-straight bi-district title this season with a win over Alpine 68-47. The Lady Mules have yet to make it past the area round of the playoffs since 2015.
