The May 6, 2023, election for the City of Muleshoe, Muleshoe Independent School District and Muleshoe Area Hospital District will have only one contest on the ballot.

Dusty Stone and Robby Bomer will face off in the election for the District 2 position on the Muleshoe ISD Board of Trustees.

“All the rest have been canceled because of no opposition,” said City Secretary Zanea Carpenter.

Incumbents Jeff King, District 3, and Jesus Tovar, District 5, are both running unopposed for the MISD Board of Trustees.

Earl Behrends, District 3 City Council member, did not sign up for re-election. Austin Atchley is running unopposed for the District 3 City Council spot. District 4 incumbent Gary Parker is running unopposed.

Incumbents Allen Smyer, District 2, and Gayle Richerson, District 4, are both running unopposed for MAHD.
