Plains Cotton Growers Inc. will host its 66th Annual Meeting + Cotton U on March 28 in Lubbock.

The event includes a full day of presentations and panel discussions.

The day’s events will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m.  followed by the start of the annual meeting.

That part of the event is from 9 to 11 a.m. It includes a call to order and the President’s Report, the 2022 PCG Outstanding Cotton Agent Award presentation, an Ag Industry Outlook presentation by Tyne Morgan and a presentation by Mark Messura with Cotton Incorporated.

Lunch will begin at 11:20 a.m. and will include a keynote presentation by John Kriesel.

The afternoon will include both a Stonex Marketing Workshop and Cotton U – both of which are scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m.

The Cotton U portion includes a legacy panel moderated by Tyne Morgan followed by a series of breakout sessions from 2-2:45 p.m. The breakout session will include Robbie Minnich, who will address the 2023 Farm Bill Outlook; Peter Dotray, who will speak about Weed Management Challenges in 2023; and Barry Evans, who will discuss Sustainable farming When the Water Is All Gone.

A farmer panel will follow. Steve Verett will moderate it.

The last part of the event is a Cotton U Social.

Certified Crop Advisor continued education units will be available for participants.
