The regular meeting of the Muleshoe City Council was held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 8, at City Hall. Present were Mayor Colt Ellis, Mayor Pro-Tem Gary Parker and Council members Lupe Mendoza, Crystal Alarcon and Austen Atchley.

A motion to approve the minutes of the meeting on March 18 was moved, seconded and approved.

Council considered appointment of election judges for the City Special Election on May 4, 2024. A motion to approve the appointments was made, seconded and approved.

A motion to receive the Investment Summary and Financial Statement for the quarter ending March 31, 2024, was made, seconded and approved.

In Administrative Reports, staff and Council member Lupe Mendoza attended the TML Region III Meeting held March 21 at the Centerpoint Event Center in Lubbock. The program was on Disaster Preparedness for Cities.

In Mayor and Council Remarks, Ellis expressed appreciation for the election judges.

Council adjourned for a Closed Session in accordance with Vernon’s Texas Codes Annotated, Government, Section 551.072 Real Estate.
