Death Notice

Filemon T. Olivarez, age 67, of Lubbock, Texas, died Thursday, December 7, 2017 in Lubbock. was born March 9, 1950 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Salvador and Guadalupe (Torres) Olivarez. married Josephina Flores in Muleshoe on June 4, 1974.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Anita Barelas; and three brothers, Pablo Olivarez, Lupe Olivarez and Isabell Olivarez.
Filemon is survived by his wife, Josephina; his two sons, Filemon Olivarez Jr. and his wife, Anna of Lubbock, and David Olivarez and his wife, Denise of Olton,; his four brothers, Salvador Olivarez Jr. of Midland, Salvador Olivarez Jr. (half brother) of Houston, Julio Olivarez of Dallas, and Juan Garth of Dimmitt; and five grandchildren, Mariah, Alex, Celest, Isaiah, and Mckenzie.

Carla Veronica Almanza

Carla Veronica Almanza, 28, and her baby, Lia Almanza Balderas passed away December 1, 2017 in Plainview, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Muleshoe, Texas with Father Rene Perez officiating.

Jo Pierson

Jo Pierson, 43, passed away on November 21, 2017 at home with her family in Nazareth, Texas. Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth, Texas with Deacon Bob Birkenfeld and Pastor Kevin Bushart officiating.
Services are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Erma Jean Flores Herrera, 42, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Friday, November 24, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born August 13, 1975 in Morton, Texas to Manuel and Elvira (Sepulbeda) Flores and married Bernardo Herrera Jr. in Muleshoe on December 19, 2013.

Lauranette Mason

Church service for Lauranette Mason, age 95, of Lubbock, Texas, is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Monday, November 20, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Muleshoe with Dr. Stacy Conner of Muleshoe officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park. Lauranette was born to George and Eula Pearl Hawkins on March 12, 1922 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
