A win last week against the Tulia Hornets secured a playoff spot for the Muleshoe Lady Mules for the first time in years.
With the victory, the Lady Mules finished fourth in district.
“The win held a large amount of importance because if we had lost, we would have had to play Tulia again for a playoff spot,” said Lady Mules Coach Kim Chaffin.
In the first quarter of the game, the Lady Mules got off to a great start. The Lady Mules’ Keely Dunham made the first basket to put them on the board. The Hornets answered with a jump shot of their own.
