Lady Mules place fourth at Lubbock ISD Invitational

The Muleshoe Mules and Lady Mules’ varsity cross country teams competed at the Lubbock ISD Invitational on Saturday, where the Lady Mules placed fourth overall with a total of 163 points. 

On the girl’s side, sophomore, Yvette Benevidas, led the Lady Mules, placing 16th overall, clocking a time of 14:04.5. Junior, Mikaela Haseloff, finished 30th overall with a time of 14:33.9, and sophomore, Idaly Tarango, finished 34th with a time of 14:40.5.

Sophomore, Angelina Armijo, finished 36th with a time of 14:42.6, while freshman, Vida Mora, finished 55th with a time of 15:07.0. Junior, Zabry Haseloff, finished 74th with a time of 15:22.3, while sophomore, Alexa Estrada, finished 75th with a time of 15:23.5. 

On the boy’s side, sophomore, Sergio Magallanes, finished 22nd with a time of 19:03.3.

Wolverine XC team places fifth overall at Lubbock ISD Invitational

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity cross country team competed at the Lubbock ISD Invitational on Saturday, where they placed fifth overall with a total of 127 points. 

The Wolverines were led by senior, Josh Samaron, who placed 9th, clocking a time of 19:25.4, while senior, Trace Goodman, also medaled, clocking a time of 20:08.9.

Sophomore, Gavin Gonzales, finished 33rd overall clocking a time of 21:47.3, while freshman, Dadwin Perez, finished 52nd overall with a time of 23:06.0.

Junior, Alex Alvarez, finished 67th with a time of 24:15.4, while freshman, Nehemiah Castillo, finished 78th with a time of 25:46.1, and senior, Dorian Samarron, finished 83rd with a time of 26:40.2.  

The Wolverines will be in action again on Saturday, Oct. 2nd, at Sundown/Abernathy.

Also medaling, were sophomore, DD Delgado, who placed 16th overall with a time of 14:48.1 and freshman, Reagan Ethridge, who placed 19th overall with a time of 14:54.2.

Sophomore, Emma Samaron, finished 31st overall with a time of 15:30.2, while freshman, Aryca Ibarra, finished 53rd overall with a time of 16:12.8. Senior, Mahalia Delgado, finished 68th with a time of 16:49.2, while freshman, Marisela Rodriguez, finished 76th, clocking a time of 17:13.3. 

The Lady Wolverines will be in action again on Saturday, Oct. 2nd, at Sundown/Abernathy.

Hornets XC team finishes 12th at Lubbock ISD Invitational

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity cross country team competed at the Lubbock ISD Invitational on Saturday, where they finished 12th overall with a total of 310 points. 

Senior, Edgar Delgado, finished 53rd with a time of 21:38.1, while sophomore, Alan Flores, finished 56th with a time of 21:42.7, and sophomore, Joseph Willeford, finished 86th with a time of 23:45.1. 

Sophomore, Enrique Gonzalez, finished 95th overall with a time of 24:36.2, and junior, Josue Cervera, finished 115th with a time of 28:26.1. 

The Hornets will be in action again on Saturday, Oct. 2nd, at Sundown.

Nettes place ninth at Lubbock ISD Invitational 

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity cross country team competed at the Lubbock ISD Invitational on Saturday, where they placed ninth overall with a total of 262 points. 

Freshman, Addisyn Harrell, led the team, placing 17th overall with a time of 13:59.5. Senior, Hailey Flores, finished 43rd with a time of 14:53.8, while freshman, Edette Herrera, finished 68th, clocking a time of 15:30.3.

Senior, Heidi Pinion-Muniz, finished 69th with a time of 15:34.2, while senior, Olivia Montes, finished 73rd with a time of 15:37.9, and senior, Elora Thorn finished 85th with a time of 15:57.4. 

The Nettes will be in action again on Saturday, Oct. 2nd, at Sundown.

Lazbuddie XC teams compete at Lubbock ISD Invitational

The Lazbuddie Longhorns and Lady Horns’ varsity cross country teams competed at the Lubbock ISD Invitational on Saturday. 

On the girl’s side, they had two athletes compete individually, as freshman, Lauren Weaver, finished 10th overall, clocking a time of 14:22.1, and junior, Erin Martinez, finished 119th, with a time of 21:10.9. 

On the boy’s side, sophomore, Jackson Gable, finished 30th overall with a time of 21:11.2.
