Ramon Sanchez will be the next city manager of Muleshoe. The Muleshoe City Council announced his hire Tuesday morning. Sanchez has been a city employee since September of 1988. He has served as public works director since September of 1997. The Muleshoe native graduated from Muleshoe High School in 1983 and went on to become a Certified Public Manager through Texas State University. He and his wife, Noemi, have two sons, Xavier and his wife, Stephanie, and Cristian. They also have one grandson named Paul. Sanchez will replace current city manager LeAnn Gallman, who announced her retirement in December. Gallman has worked for the City of Muleshoe for 39 years and served as city secretary from 1999-2016 before stepping in as city manager. She is set to retire on May 1. Sanchez will officially assume the role on that same day.
