Covenant Health is imposing new visitor restrictions and guidelines at each of its regional campuses. Starting Tuesday, all visitors and patients will be temperature screened.
In a policy update sent out to area media on Sunday afternoon, the hospital indicates the changes were made to expand precautions to prevent potential spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
Until further notice, the hospital encourages communication via phone or video calls. Patients who don’t have video capabilities on their personal devices are encouraged to communicate that with their care teams.
The following visitor guidelines will be enforced at each regional campus that falls under the Covenant Health umbrella.
Covenant Health Plainview: Maximum of two visitors at a time; temperature screening upon arrival
Covenant Medical Center (Lubbock): Maximum of two visitors at a time; temperature screenings upon arrival
Covenant Children’s (Lubbock): pediatric/obstetrics patients are allowed two visitors at a time; temperature screenings upon arrival
Covenant Specialty Hospital (Lubbock): Maximum of one visitor at a time; temperature screenings upon arrival
Covenant Medical Group: Maximum of two adult visitors at a time; exercise extreme caution when brining minors accompanying adults
Grace Medical Center (Lubbock): Maximum of two visitors at a time; temperature screening upon arrival
Grace Clinic (Lubbock): Maximum of two adult visitors at a time; exercise extreme caution when brining minors accompanying adults
Joe Arrington Cancer Treatment & Research Center (Lubbock): Maximum of two visitors; temperature screening upon arrival
Covenant Health Levelland: Maximum two visitors at a time; temperature screening upon arrival
