Zeta Rho chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met in the home of Sharon Agee Tuesday, November 14, for their monthly meeting.

Sharon and Vicki Black served as hostesses and served Members appetizers of stuffed peppers and a meal of green salad, pumpkin soup, crackers,  and pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing for dessert.

Tiffany Hicks, Sharon’s niece from Lubbock, shared slides and discussion of her trip to South Korea to see her younger sister Kayla who lives near Seoul and teaches English to elementary age children. Tiffany shared images of the city, the DMZ between North and South Korea, and talked about life in South Korea. She talked about the food, the education system, a bit about the difference in the governments of North and South Korea, and Christianity being the largest religion with Buddhism coming in second.

After the program, President Lynne Box led the opening ritual, Secretary Vicki Black called roll and read the minutes from the last meeting. President Box gave a treasurer’s report in the absence of Treasurer Pat Young.

Pat Angeley reported on plans for the December meeting. It was agreed that the group will travel to Red Lobster in Clovis and a Christmas donation will be made to the Muleshoe Heritage Center.

Discussion also followed by the Service Committee and the decision was voted on to make a donation to the Bailey County Ministerial Alliance’s Christmas Child Fund.

The meeting was adjourned and President Box led the group in the closing ritual and the mizpah.

Members will meet at Lynne Box’s home December 12 at 6 p.m. and travel to Red Lobster for the Christmas meeting and donation.
