Seventeen Muleshoe Mules qualified for the regional track meet. 

The team competed in Area track last week and was named the area runner up. 

A few notable feats of the day include the 4X200 meter relay breaking a school record with their time of 1:31.27. The team placed third. 

The top four place advance to regionals. Here’s a look at who’s going to regionals.

GIRLS

Yvette Benavides: 3rd place in 3200-meter run; 4th place in 800-meter run

Vida Mora: 1st place in 200-meter dash; 1st place in 400-meter dash; 

Relays: 

4X200 meter: 2nd place team – Layla Fleming, Gia Hernandez, Marely Ronquillo Lazos, Idaly Tarango

4X400 meter: 1st palce team: Marely Ronquillo Lazos, Yvette Benavides, Layla Fleming and Vida Mora

BOYS

Sergio Magallanes: 4th place in 1600-meter run; 4th place in 3200-meter run

Matt Hauff: 2nd place in 110-Meter High Hurdles; 1st place in 300-meter hurdles

Daniel Sianez: 3rd place in 200-meter dash; 1st place in 400-meter dash

Nathan Martens: 3rd place in 400-meter dash

Mauricio Herrera: 3rd place in long jump; 3rd place in high jump

Jermaine Flores: 1st place in triple jump

Relays: 

4X100 – 2nd place team: Yahire Quezada, Nathan Martens, Mauricio Herrera and Joaquin Arias

4X200 – 3rd place team: Mauricio Herrera, Yahir Quezada, Joaquin Arias and Noah Cantu

4X400 – 4th place team: Nathan Martens, Noah Cantu, Mauricio Herrera and Daniel Sianez
