The filing period is open for those interested in running for Muleshoe Mayor. 

Members of the Council, including the Mayor, are elected to three-year terms. Current Mayor Colt Ellis was elected to the office in 2021. He previously held the District 1 City Council position. 

Candidate packets can be picked up from the City Secretary at City Hall. The last day to file is Feb. 16. 

The last day to register to vote is April 4.

Election day is set for May 4. Early voting is set for April 22-30 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at City Hall, 215 S. 1st St.
