Bailey County burn ban now in effect

Due to extremely dry conditions, Bailey County Commissioners Court voted in its regular meeting Monday to put an immediate burn ban into effect. The vote was

Self-motivated students qualify for state LifeSmarts competition

Being smart is a great start on the road to success in life. However, being self-motivated and focused can take you even farther down that road.
Muleshoe FCCLA members Ariana Mendoza-Platas, Laiza Que, Kyla Sierra and Lylyana Castro recently qualified to take part in the State LifeSmarts Competition on March 2-3 in Austin.

BCEC 2019 Youth Tour Delegates Chosen

Winners of the annual Bailey County Electric Cooperative (BCEC) Youth Tour Contest were chosen on January 20, 2019. Representing BCEC on the all-expense-paid trip in June 2019 on the Government In Action Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. are: Miranda Melendez from Muleshoe High School, Diamond Devon Pacheco and Preston Stewart, both from Lazbuddie High School.

Candidates sign up for a spot on election ballot

Five candidates have signed up for a place on the ballot in the Muleshoe City Election, according to City Secretary Zanea Carpenter. They are as follows:
