Bunge acquires Grupo Minsa’s U.S. corn milling business

Minsa Corporation has been purchased by Bunge North America, the North American operating arm of Bunge Limited (NYSE:  BG), according to a press release from Bunge datelined St. Louis, Missouri, Jan. 30, 2018.

Sudan Nettes’

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team suffered their first blimish in district play as they fell to Farwell, 47-18 on Friday.
With the loss, the Nettes fall to 16-4 overall, 2-1 in district play.
The Nettes were unable to get anything going in the first half on Friday as they scored just two points in the first quarter and three in the second quarter.
They trailed Farwell, 22-5, going into the locker room at halftime.
In the third quarter, their offensive struggles continued as they fell behind, 35-7, going into the final quarter of play.
In the fourth quarter they were outscored, 12-11, falling to Farwell, 47-18.
The Nettes were led by Hannah Miller, who finished the contest with five points, three rebounds and two steals and Kaegan Edwards, who tallied four points, three rebounds, one steal and one block.
Delanie Black chipped in three points, one rebound and one steal, while Callan Netherland added three points and one rebound. Lexi Bartley added two points, two rebounds, two steals and two block, while Payton Tolbert finished with one rebound and one steal.
The Nettes hosted the Bovina Fillies on Tuesday. Results were not available at press time. They will close out the first half of district play on Friday with a road contest at Lockney.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Sudan Hornets’

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity basketball team opened district play on Friday against Farwell, falling to the Steers, 78-51.
With the loss, the Hornets fall to 2-18 overall, 0-1 in district play.
The Hornets led after the first quarter, but were down by 11 at the half.
Farwell made 12 threes while the Hornets made 8.
Head Coach Rocky Winn said that he had never been in a game with that many three-pointers made.
Coach Winn said that the boys fought and competed for four full quarters which was their goal.
He added, “He was pleased with the Hornets effort and said that they made huge progress.”
The Hornets hosted Bovina on Tuesday. Results were not available at press time. They will continue district play on Friday with a road game against the Lockney Longhorns.
Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
