Focus on Faith: God’s Grace: It Just Isn’t Fair!

A surpassingly strange story it is, and enough to make a math or accounting major bite nails. I’m talking about Jesus’ Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard (Matthew 20:1-16).
Here’s the story in a nutshell: It’s grape-harvest in Palestine. A vineyard owner goes out early to hire men to work in his vineyard, and he agrees to pay them a denarius, a normal day’s wage. They go to work.

Spirit Wind 2018 Youth Choir summer tour comes to Muleshoe

Spirit Wind 2018, the Northwest Texas United Methodist Youth Choir, began its summer tour Wednesday with a performance at First United Methodist Church, Olton. Concert venues include local Methodist churches in selected communities across the NWTX Conference and the DFW Metroplex. The choir is scheduled to appear in Muleshoe, Texas on June12 at First United Methodist Church – 507 W. 2nd Street. The concert will be at 7:00 p.m.

Books bring music to your life, and Muleshoe Area Public Library is the place to find books! Join the Summer Reading Club for reading fun, prizes and lots of special events. Rack up your reading minutes after you’ve registered through July 31.

2018 Youth Golf Camp

Monday June 25th –Thursday June 28th

Open to incoming 5th grade to 9th grade

5th Grade-8:00 am to 8:45 am

6th Grade- 9:00 am to 9:45 am

7th Grade-10:00 am to 10:45 am

8th Grade-11:00 am to 11:45 am

9th Grade-12:00 pm to 12:45 pm

$30 per person. Registrations forms can be picked up at the Golf Course or in the High School Office. Return form along with payment to Steven Butler 702 W. Ave J Muleshoe, Texas 79347 or drop off at the High School office before May 22nd, 2018.
