Reynaldo C. Melendez, age 73, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Monday, October 23, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas. Services will be held at a later date. Reynaldo was born March 4, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Reynaldo and Maria Cantu Melendez, Sr.

Katelyn is the elect bride of Colton Surber.Colton, also a resident of Muleshoe Texas is the son of Troy Surber and Melissa Maestas. Katelyn was honored with a Bridal Shower on October 29th, 2017 at the Muleshoe Civic Center meeting Room.

By Derek Lopez The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team, shutout the Smyer Bobcats last Friday, 28-0, for their first district win of the year. With the victory, the Hornets improve to 3-5 overall, 1-1 in district play.The Hornets totaled 248 yards of total offense, including 37 passing yards and 211 rushing yards.
